Artist Statement | Occasionally, when simple elements in nature combine to create scenes of striking beauty, it is my good fortune to capture them. I love looking for combinations of shape and color, location and light, water and wind. When I get really lucky, at the right moment, in the right place, a subject makes the transition from reality to abstraction, and the results can become breath-taking. I am humbled by occasional comparisions of my photos with the work of well known, traditional artists (Joseph Raffael, Charles de Muth). |
